Job Description

Jones Engineering are a well-established family run Agricultural Machinery Manufacturer based near Epworth, Doncaster and are looking for a Plater/Welder to complement their growing team.

The desired candidate:

Forward thinking individual who is not afraid to take on responsibility. Experienced plater/fabricator preferred. Agricultural machinery experience would be an advantage, but not essential. Mig welding experience essential. To have the ability to be able to read and understand engineering drawings. Measuring and cutting size, utilizing main factory equipment. The ability to work as part of a team or by their own initiative. Have good communication skills. Mature attitude to work ethics and values which align with that of the company

Fabricating to engineering drawings Operate Guillotine Operate Press brake Operate Drills

Key Responsibilities

Working from supplied drawings to complete fabrication of projects. Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling. Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery. Ensure production timings are met. Reasonable understanding of weld defects under visual inspection desirable. A good work ethic and attitude
