As we continue to scale globally, we are looking for a Platform Communications SME to help strengthen our communication frameworks, enhance user engagement, and support the ongoing evolution of the Whitespace Platform.

Role Overview

The

Platform Communications SME

will serve as the subject-matter expert for all communication flows across the Whitespace Platform. This role ensures that users receive clear, timely, and actionable information, whether through in-platform messaging, release notes, documentation, incident comms, or product updates. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to maintain a consistent, high-quality communication experience that supports adoption, transparency, and trust.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage all platform-related communication channels, including announcements, in-platform messaging, and product updates. Create communication strategies to support on-going adoption and change management. Translate complex technical and product information into clear, concise, user-friendly language. Coordinate incident and outage communications, ensuring transparency and alignment with internal stakeholders. Build and maintain a communication framework and guidelines that reinforce the Whitespace brand and tone. Analyse user engagement with platform communications to continuously improve clarity and impact. Act as the internal subject-matter expert for best practices in scalable platform communications activity.

Skills & Experience

Required

Experience of the London Market (re)insurance industry. A deep understanding of risk placement practices from both broking and underwriting perspectives. Proven experience in product communications, product operations, or a similar SME role within SaaS, technology. Ability to convert technical concepts into clear, accessible messaging for varied audiences. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple communication streams simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail. Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred

Exposure to the global (wider) (re)insurance industries. Familiarity with change management and user adoption strategies. Experience with communication tools.
