The role
You will lead a team of 4 DevOps and Platform Engineers and also deputise for the Head of Software Engineering. It is a technical hands on role although that side of it is likely to be 10 - 20% of your time. You will be responsible for Technical Oversight / Leadership, Platform Strategy and Design, 1-2-1's, Appraisals, coaching and mentoring, As a technology leader you will have to manage stakeholder across the business. The role also requires skills around FinOps, Budgeting and Cost Control.
Technical Skills (most of and in order of importance) NB they are a Microsoft shop
Extensive experience of DevOps and Cloud Native Infrastructure development - including Azure Experience of DevSecOps or Cloud Security C# Development experience Azure Devops Kubernetes (AKS - Azure), Cloud Compute, Storage & Networking Azure CAF & Azure Frameworks Azure Enterprise Landing Zones (ELZ), Policy, Local HCI Stack Terraform Scripting & Automation - Powershell, Bash, Python, YAML Linux AWS (advantageous)
