The Role

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with expertise on AWS and Terraform, some experience with Go, PHP, Laravel, Python or NodeJS would be advantageous, to join our team and play a critical role in the upkeep and expansion of our infrastructure, tools, services and functions. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and maintaining our infrastructure, assisting the wider Engineering team, and supporting critical services such as our CI/CD pipelines, Lambda functions and self-hosted applications.


If you have experience with AWS and Terraform, but you're primarily focused on other disciplines, we'd be happy to hear from you.

How to make an impact

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, primarily through Terraform Develop, deploy, and maintain Lambda functions in Python, Go, and NodeJS to support application and service requirements Collaborate with engineering teams to assist with infrastructure needs, providing expertise and support to ensure optimal deployment and operation of services. Maintain and improve key applications and tools, contributing to the automation and efficiency of operational processes Ensure the general availability and stability of the company's services, actively participating in incident management and resolution Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously seeking ways to improve our infrastructure and operations. Be aware of cost management and our infrastructure spend, seeking ways to optimise resources we're using Risk based approach to infrastructure management Advocate for best practice security processes, stay up to date with the changing security landscape Docker maintenance, ensuring our images are kept to update and supporting our engineering team with Docker-related queries

Your background

At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud services, Terraform and Docker. Some experience with NodeJS, Python, Go or PHP would be a plus. Strong understanding of cloud architecture and operational best practices. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders A commitment to continuous learning and improvement in a rapidly evolving field
