Key Responsibilities
Drive platform engineering initiatives, delivering scalable solutions that enhance reliability and automation.
Lead technical projects, collaborating across teams to implement infrastructure improvements.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitOps best practices.
Enhance CI/CD processes, streamlining build, deployment, and release workflows.
Work alongside development, QA, and reliability teams to build reusable platform components.
Ensure consistency across environments, optimising lower-stage systems for seamless production parity.
Conduct audits and decommission outdated resources to improve cost efficiency.
Establish security protocols, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with deployment standards.
Act as a mentor, guiding junior engineers and supporting their technical growth.
Maintain thorough documentation of platform workflows, tools, and infrastructure management strategies.
Play a key role in shaping architecture decisions for future system enhancements.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong background in managing production-grade infrastructure with a focus on automation and scalability.
Expertise in AWS, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and IAM.
Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation tools.
Advanced knowledge of CI/CD platforms, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Skilled in container orchestration, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
Deep understanding of networking, IAM configurations, and cloud security principles.
Experience working with databases like MySQL, DynamoDB, and Snowflake.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Previous mentoring or leadership experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools like CloudWatch, New Relic, Grafana, and Datadog.
Experience working in high-availability, cost-conscious environments.
Familiarity with static code analysis and quality gates (e.g. SonarQube).
