In our continuing mission to enable digital science across Crop Protection Research and Development (CP R&D) we are looking for a Platform Manager to run number of products in a significant, high value and impactful transformation across the global function, Product Biology, that enables key understandings of how our new inventions and technologies deliver innovate products to the customers we serve. You will be building a deep understanding of how the processes and outcomes of product biology support the creation of new Active ingredients from small chemical molecules to biologicals and new modalities of product innovation looking at soil health and bio stimulants. Within this role you will be running multiple platforms, keeping the vendor development teams focused on business outcomes, reduction of technical debt, advocating for new ways of working and thinking and deliver the foundational data sets that enable ever faster and more innovative customer products. Key responsibilities will include:

• Defining and maintaining a 1 to 3 year roadmap of support for existing IT applications and new initiatives within a continuous DevOps model.
• Delivering work packages of prioritized stories across multiple products to deliver business value.
• Ensuring our data products support FAIR principles.
• Delivering technical debt reduction in a hybrid cloud environment, while inspiring and supporting teams to implement automation, CI/CD pipelines and native cloud technology.
• Ensuring all platforms are delivering in agile methodologies with pace by owning and driving the delivery plans, risk/issue logs and supplier relationships.
• Being an active member of the platform lead community, contributing to setting best practice, peer review, mentoring and coaching.
• Creating and maintaining risk and dependency tracking across the multiple platforms you lead and work alongside.

Qualifications
What we are looking for?

• University Bachelor's Degree preferred in IT technology.
• Proven experience leading platforms or DevOps teams in a number of domains with incremental delivery.
• Extensive experience working in an Agile ( ideally DevOps ) environment.
• Awareness of emerging cloud technologies and delivery in cloud environments.
• Mindset of Agile change delivery and steady state operations.
• Strong influencing skill with excellent communication and negotiation capabilities, promoting diverse thinking.
• Customer-focused team player staying current with technological and scientific advancements.
• Ability to work independently in complex environments while maintaining compliance with all standards.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working in life sciences R&D.
• Post-graduate degrees in a STEM discipline.
