Platform Support & Quality Lead

Richmond, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Overview

We're looking for a technically strong and client-oriented individual to lead support and assurance for our Phoenix platform. This role ensures the platform is delivered to the right quality, security, and service levels -- working closely with our software development team, clients, and internal assurance resources. All work must align with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified processes.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Assurance & Ownership:
Act as the accountable lead for platform support. Own the triage of incoming issues, manage client-facing communications, and ensure timely resolution in coordination with development and assurance teams.

Technical Oversight:
Leverage a strong background in cloud infrastructure and architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support secure, scalable platform operations. Lead platform security management -- including vulnerability handling, configuration reviews, and incident tracking.

Assurance Delivery Management:
Manage the day-to-day priorities across the assurance function. Coordinate workloads, ensure test and compliance tasks are aligned to delivery schedules, and maintain focus on critical path items. No direct reports, but a clear leadership and coordination role.

Development Liaison:
Work closely with the software team to understand technical issues, prioritise fixes, and support the release of updates and infrastructure changes into production.

Process & Compliance:
Ensure all assurance and support work complies with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 frameworks. Act as a guardian of process adherence and a driver for continuous improvement.

Testing & Evidence Management:
Lead the planning, documentation, and execution of platform tests. Ensure all outcomes are properly recorded, and evidence is maintained to support audit, reporting, and assurance outcomes.

Client Communication & Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for platform-related queries, feedback, and escalations. Maintain structured and proactive communication with external stakeholders.

Requirements

Deep technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure and microservice architecture Hands-on experience with cloud provider tooling (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerised platforms (Docker/Kubernetes) Experience of setting up CI/CD pipeline and toolchain Strong grasp of secure development and deployment practices, with a focus on operational security and platform resilience Experience working within or alongside assurance and compliance functions Clear, confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 processes in a software delivery context Comfortable leading priorities and coordinating work across a cross-functional team, without direct line management
