About the Service
Newport Youth and Play Service offers a range of provisions for children and young people aged 5-25 and consists of a talented and enthusiastic team of professional youth and play workers who operate across the city. This set up consists of play and youth clubs, one to one and project work that all provide a wide variety of creative opportunities and experiences that encourage the participation and development of children and young people in communities.
The Youth and Play Service promotes a strong connection between targeted and universal work that ensures there is a consistent offer of support to children and young people when they need it.

Qualification: Level 3 in Play Work
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a Play Apprentice to join our dynamic Youth and Play Service team.
We're seeking an enthusiastic people who enjoy working with children and young people. As part of the role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting play and youth activities in schools and communities across the city. You will learn how to communicate effectively with children, young people, families and professionals. Develop key skills in teamwork, organisation and administration whilst working alongside experienced staff in frontline services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in play work and youth work, gain valuable experience, and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
