Permanent, Full-time position working 37.5 hours per week (including alternate weekends and bank holidays).



Pay Scale from 26,000 D.O.E



Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Birdworld is on the lookout for a Play Barn & Catering Assistant Team Leader to join our team and help deliver joyful, high-quality experiences across our catering outlets and new indoor Play Barn.



About the Role

As Play Barn & Catering Assistant Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of our guest experience. Supporting the Team Leader to ensure our catering operations run smoothly and our Play Barn remains a lively, safe and welcoming space for young explorers.

Providing effective supervision of the team and ensuring a high level of guest service and experience is delivered.



What You'll Do

Supervise, inspire and motivate your team to deliver excellent customer service Support the Team Leader to drive the catering performance across the park, to meet sales and manage targets to remain with budget Assisting the Team Leader with compliance regarding health and safety and food regulations Contribute to business development to support continued growth and success of the catering and play experience at Birdworld.

What You'll Bring

Experience in food service or hospitality Knowledge and understanding of food hygiene within a commercial environment Experience of visitor attraction (desirable) Strong supervision skills with the ability to develop, motivate and lead by example Excellent customer service skills Good planning, organisation and time-management skills to manage day-to-day operations IT system/data-base experience

Essentials

Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain) Requirement to undergo a DBS check Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and adapt to business needs
