Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in childcare or early childhood education. As a Play Worker, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and lead activities effectively.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement creative play activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their participation and helping them develop new skills. Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive team environment. Assist in the management of daily routines and schedules within the setting.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. A passion for fostering children's development through play-based learning activities. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
