We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in childcare or early childhood education. As a Play Worker, you will create a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, play, and develop social skills. Your role will involve supervising activities, facilitating play, and ensuring the well-being of all children in your care.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and confidence.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
Maintain a clean and organised play environment that meets health and safety standards.
Support children with special needs or additional requirements as necessary.
Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills in childcare management and leadership.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills within a team environment.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children if required.
