Playworker
We are looking for an enthusiastic Playworker to work at the Breakfast and Afterschool Club at St. John and St. Francis's School from 3pm-5pm from Monday-Thursday. The position is term time only and does not require you to have any childcare qualifications although you will need to undertake some training in order to meet our company requirements.

Job Role:

Working under the general direction of the Club Supervisor to assist in the service delivery of the Out of School club.

Main tasks:

Planning and organisation of a range of stimulating and developmental activities Supervision, safety and welfare of children Communication and liaison with staff, families/ carers and the school Maintaining high standards of Health and Safety

Job Activities include:

Working within a team environment to organise and facilitate a range of play based activities which include sports, arts and crafts, games, drama, dance and multi-media. Whilst on duty assume responsibility for the safety and welfare of children and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and fit for children and staff to use. Working closely with colleagues on matters related to the day to day delivery of the service. Participate in training programmes. Under the general direction of the Club Supervisor, take responsibility for the unlocking and locking of premises in accordance with the club's procedures and policies and host school's procedures. Completion of all records/ documents as directed by the Club Supervisor. Cleaning the club at the end of each session and contributing to the maintenance of the club. Contribute to the provision of nutritional snacks for children and menu planning.
