We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess strong management and leadership skills. You will be responsible for facilitating play activities, ensuring the well-being of the children, and fostering their development through creative and educational play.
We are looking for permanent members of staff for confirmed shifts each week as well as bank staff who can be available to cover for absences or when additional staff are required.
Breakfast club hours are
term time only
Monday to Friday 7.10 - 8.45am and after school hours are 2.45pm - 6.15pm. Some flexibility for earlier finish from 5pm.

Duties
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging communication and interaction.
Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition.
Communicate effectively, reporting any concerns, problems or incidents, e.g. safeguarding, behaviour, breakdowns, deficiencies, in accordance with relevant reporting procedures
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment that supports children's needs.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in early childhood education and childcare practices.
Assist with food preparation and tidying away as required and supervise at meal time
May be required to respond to pupils' needs in routine, pre-agreed tasks (including routine medical needs).
Any other duties as required that are commensurate with the grade of the post
Experience / qualifications
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Food hygiene certificate (training provided)
