We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults. This role is essential in promoting positive play experiences and supporting the development of children in our care.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging them to express themselves and develop their social skills. Manage group dynamics, fostering a positive atmosphere where all children feel included and valued. Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall objectives of the childcare setting. Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through creative play.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable. A background in early childhood education or nursery care will be advantageous. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff members. A genuine passion for childcare and a commitment to fostering children's development through play-based learning.
