Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children to learn and play. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem. Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the best interests of the children. Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, and any relevant observations regarding children's behaviour or development.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs as required. A genuine passion for childcare, demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm in all interactions with children.
