Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and possess a strong understanding of childhood development. As a Play Worker, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children, facilitating play and learning experiences that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.

This position requires an enhanced DBS check.

Duties



Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual requirements. Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and teamwork through group activities. Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive approach to child care and education.

Skills



First aid certification is highly desirable. Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Background in preschool education or early childhood education is essential. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices. Previous experience working with children in various settings such as nursery/ classrooms is preferred. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques to support children's emotional needs effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week

Work Location: In person
