As a Play Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children. Your primary responsibility will be to support children's play and development through various activities, ensuring their wellbeing and fostering their social skills. This position requires a passion for working with children and the ability to lead and manage play sessions effectively.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Plan and implement creative activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging communication and cooperation.
Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment that caters to the diverse needs of all children.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Skills
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide children during activities.
Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
A valid driving licence may be advantageous for transporting equipment or attending off-site activities.
A genuine passion for fostering children's development through play.
