We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children and ideally past experience. This role involves supervising activities, ensuring the well-being of all participants, and fostering an atmosphere of creativity and fun.
Responsibilities
Supervise children during playtime and activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
Preparing, serving and clearing away food and drink at mealtimes.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team environment.
Assist in the administration of any necessary paperwork related to children's attendance and activities.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting or School is desirable.
This job is particularly suited to Students studying or hoping to study in this field and can be done around college or University attendance.
Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Management or leadership experience is advantageous for overseeing activities.
