Playworker (Term-Time) - After School Club, Salisbury

Are you enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about working with children? We are looking for a

Term-Time Playworker

to join our fantastic After School Club team at a large primary school in Salisbury.

Our club is a vibrant, engaging, and supportive environment where children are encouraged to explore, play, and grow. We offer a wide range of fun and stimulating activities, and we are proud of the safe, nurturing space we have created for the children in our care.

About the Role

Hours (Term Time Only):

Mondays: 2.45pm - 5.30pm (occasionally until 6.00pm) Thursdays: 2.45pm - 6.00pm Additional cover shifts may be available

Start Date:

As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Organise and lead age-appropriate activities that support learning, creativity, and social development. Communicate effectively with parents and carers about children's experiences and any concerns. Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe play environment at all times. Work closely with the team to support the smooth running of each session.

What We Are Looking For

A cheerful, energetic personality with a natural rapport with children.

A team player with strong communication skills and a flexible, 'can-do' attitude. Punctual, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality care. A good understanding of safeguarding practices (training provided if needed). Experience working with children is desirable, but not essential - full training will be given.

Bonus Skills (Not Essential)

Paediatric First Aid Certificate Safeguarding qualification

Requirements

Right to work in the UK Be on the DBS Update Service or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Certificate (we can help with this)
