Play Worker - Wraparound Care

St Johns Church Of England Primary School, CT1 1BD

Hours: Part-time,

22 hours per week (Monday-Friday, mornings and afternoons)

Join our friendly team delivering fun and safe activities for primary school children before and after school.

A fantastic, fun, varied and flexible opportunity for anyone who enjoys spending time inspiring and supporting children, being a playworker is so much more than just... play!

Spend time supporting children before and after school and provide valuable learning and social opportunities. You'll be a valuable part of their day, making sure they get the most out of these sessions.

Day-to-day tasks include:

Leading fun and engaging play activities Supervising children aged 4-11 in a school club setting Ensuring safeguarding and safety procedures are always followed Serving snacks and promoting healthy habits Working closely with parents, carers, and colleagues
What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Aged 18+ (due to insurance and Ofsted regulations) Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or play settings Confidence supporting play in a structured but fun environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable (but not required):

A childcare qualification (or working towards one) First Aid, Safeguarding, or Food Hygiene certificates Full UK driving licence (for flexibility across sites)
