The East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Housing Maintenance Unit is highlighting its commitment to investing in the local people in the area in which it serves, by offering one post for a permanent Plumber.
Based at the Beverley Depot, the successful candidate will assist in the responsibility, for the repairs and maintenance of the Councils Social Housing Stock, within the East Riding.
The post will require you to carry out various Plumbing repairs and installation of sanitary ware. We are specifically looking for someone who is experienced in the building industry, preferably being able to multi-skill.
Where there are no expectations on you to work overtime, or be part of the call out rota, but there are opportunities to do this, if you so wish.
You will have the option to start your working day from your home, providing you can show us evidence of a full driving licence.
You will be paired with an experienced member of staff to help you adjust to the way we work within the Housing Maintenance Unit until you are happy to go it alone. We are looking for staff that are self-motivated and can work either on their own or within a team and have the ability to provide a good level of workmanship.
A works vehicle will be provided with a van stock, and we also supply you with work wear and personal protective equipment with specialist tooling and equipment provided to help carry out your work.
There are various training opportunities, to help you in your job, or progressing within the authority.
You will be automatically enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme, giving you some form of security for retirement and a generous yearly paid holiday entitlement.
