quans is looking for a Plumber to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working on average 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.





Working as part of a plumbing team within the mechanical department the main responsibilities are to ensure that the day-to-day maintenance and reactive activities are delivered throughout the site to a high standard and in a timeous manner to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the plumbing related equipment within the hospital.




WHAT WILL YOU DELIVER?


Conduct routine checks and maintenance on domestic water outlets, storage tanks, and associated systems. Service and maintain Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) to ensure compliance with safety standards. Record and monitor water temperatures across various systems to maintain optimal performance. Perform general plumbing maintenance throughout the hospital, addressing issues promptly and efficiently. Ensure the hospital's plumbing systems comply with current water treatment legislation and Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM). Install and maintain plumbing and drainage systems as required. Enforce Equans health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


Must have a background in Domestic & Commercial Plumbing and Drainage with a recognised apprenticeship. Extensive and varied post apprenticeship experience in installation, service and maintenance is essential for this role. Knowledge of TMV's and Legionella Control preferred. Good working knowledge of the requirements of Scottish Health Technical Memoranda would be advantageous. City & Guilds, S/NVQ or equivalent qualification with a governing body such as SNIPEF CSCS (Advantageous) Disclosure certificate required as part of role
