We are seeking an experienced Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical understanding, and the ability to work independently on complex projects (protentional price work). This role involves overseeing plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance across various commercial and industrial sites. The Senior Plumber will also mentor junior staff and ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations.
Duties
Lead and execute plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial and industrial properties
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
utilise a wide range of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialised plumbing apparatus
Perform mechanical tasks including pipe fitting, soldering, threading, and assembly of plumbing components
Conduct inspections to identify faults or potential issues within plumbing systems
Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations and building codes
Mentor junior plumbers and apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge
Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale plumbing projects
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely as required for the installation or repair of large equipment or pipes
Requirements
Proven experience as a Plumber with a minimum of several years in a senior or lead role
Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and associated equipment
Proficiency in welding techniques and the use of welding tools
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, carpentry skills, and assembly processes
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint reading
Experience with commercial driving licences is desirable but not essential
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments
