Key Responsibilities
You will handle a wide range of domestic plumbing and heating tasks, from quick repairs to full installations. We need someone who can quickly and accurately diagnose issues, provide effective solutions, and carry out work to a high, leak-free standard.
General Plumbing
Maintenance & Repairs:
Handle reactive jobs and general maintenance, including replacing toilet mechanisms, taps, basins, showers, and waste systems.
Fault Finding:
Diagnose and repair leaks from baths, showers, basins, and other hot/cold water systems.
Installations:
Install and replace kitchen sinks, toilets , basins, outside taps, and washing machine points ect.
Drainage:
Clear blockages in toilets and drains.
Proactive Service:
While on the job, you will be expected to proactively identify potential issues both visually and through interaction with the customer. These may include dripping taps, defective radiator valves, unserviced boilers, toilets that do not flush properly, failed silicone seals in wet areas, or cracked sanitary ware. You will then report these findings to us via a job report form.
Heating & Gas
Boiler & Gas Work:
Perform gas safety checks, boiler services, and boiler installations. Install new gas pipework.
Cylinders:
Work on unvented cylinder installations, services, and fault diagnosis, including replacing immersion elements, pumps, and zone valves.
System Upgrades:
Install new radiators, radiator valves, and smart thermostats (single and dual channel).
System Flushing:
Perform mains chemical flushes and power flushing.
Project work
First
and
second
fix heating, cold, and hot water systems for new installations.
Final
bathrooms and commission new gas, unvented, or hot and cold systems.
Proactive Service:
While on the job, you'll be expected to proactively identify and report any potential heating issues to customers, such as defective thermostatic radiator valves, unserviced boilers, or poor system health.

What We Offer

A starting salary of
35,000
per year.

You will receive full training on our job management system. Guidance and assistance from the business owner are always available for challenging or unfamiliar jobs.
About You
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and confident individual who takes pride in their work. You must be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and communicate clearly with customers.
Experience:
Strong experience in domestic plumbing and heating with a proven ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently.
Qualifications:
Ideally, you will have an
NVQ Level 2 Full Diploma
or a
JIB Blue Card
.
Gas Safe
and
Unvented Cylinder (G3)
qualifications are highly advantageous but not essential.
Customer-Focused:
You should be a good communicator, capable of explaining work and solutions to customers clearly.
Reliability:
We need someone who is punctual, ensures a job is done right the first time, and maintains a high standard of work.
