Job Responsibilities:

Inspecting and diagnosing issues with piping systems and plumbing fixtures.

Installing pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.

Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning plumbing equipment.

Clearing obstructions from sink drains and toilets.

Collaborating with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing systems.

Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards in all installations and repairs.

Preparing cost estimates for clients.

Skills & Experience:

Additional skills which may benefit anyone considering a job as a plumber would include:

Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage.

Knowledge of local building plumbing codes and regulations.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordingly.

Communication and intrapersonal skills, including customer service.

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.

Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversion.

. Multilingual ability, i.e. English and Bengali/Hindi/Urdu.

Requirements:

1. GAS Safety Certified

2. Must Have CIS Registration

3. UTR Registration

4. Right to work in the UK

5. Must have Tiling Knowledge

6. A formal qualification of at least a minimum high-school diploma or General Certificates of Secondary Education (GCSEs) in maths and English. A technical school program in plumbing i.e. includes a BTEC Level 1/2 First Award in Construction and the Built Environment, an EAL or City & Guilds Level 2 Intermediate Diploma in Plumbing, an EAL or City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Plumbing or a Construction Skills Certification Scheme or equivalent qualification is ideal.
