Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber, Heating and Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in both residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain heating systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standard Assemble components and systems using hand tools and power tools Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and perform necessary repairs. Plumb heating systems as required, ensuring efficient operation Perform heavy lifting when handling equipment and materials Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times. Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls as required.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating. CCN1 and CENWAT qualifications required. Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in Plumbing, heating and gas system installation and maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools relevant to plumbing tasks. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations and repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Strong problem-solving skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Must have a relative and up to date gas qualifications. Must have relative plumbing qualifications. Minimum 5 years experience. Knowledge of boiler breakdown and repair is advantageous. Full UK Driving Licence. Valid CSCS Card. Ability to work flexibly. Self-motivated and reliable.
