Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Plumber

with a strong background in plumbing to carry out the installation and refurbishment of plumbing related installations to private clients. This role requires expertise in plumbing, sanitaryware fitting, and system compliance to meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing and System Integration:

Install, connect, and test hot and cold-water supply systems, ensuring compliance with BS EN 806 standards. Fit and connect sanitary appliances, including sinks, toilets, showers, and baths. Install, adjust, and test thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) to maintain regulated water temperatures. Diagnose and repair leaks, pipe blockages, and water pressure issues. Conduct system checks, ensuring no cross-contamination between potable and non-potable water supplies.

Bathroom Installations:

Fit baths, basins, WC units, and shower enclosures, including thermostatic shower mixers. Install extractor fans and ventilation systems for compliance with Building Regulations. Align all installations with precise measurements, ensuring visual and functional perfection.

Tiling and Flooring:

Apply ceramic tiling to walls, splashbacks, and wet areas, ensuring a professional, watertight finish. Install vinyl flooring, including sealing edges to meet hygiene and safety standards.

Snagging and Finishing:

Identify and rectify all defects or installation snags before client handover. Ensure all joints, seals, and surfaces are professionally finished.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Certifications and Skills:

NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or a related discipline. Certification in

, and WaterSafe-approved schemes (preferred). Comprehensive knowledge of BS EN 806 and BS EN 8558 for plumbing systems. Familiarity with installation requirements for thermostatic valves and water-saving technologies.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience in bathroom fitting with a plumbing specialisation. Expertise in installing, adjusting, and repairing pipework, fixtures, and fittings. Proven ability to work with pressurised water systems, including testing and troubleshooting. Full UK driving licence.
