Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber and Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience working with plumbing and gas systems in both residential and commercial settings. As a Plumber and Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and gas appliances and systems. Your expertise will contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of our operations. You will be working on both a reactive and planned basis, which may include some out of hours call outs.

Company branded workwear, a van, and fuel are provided with this position.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and gas appliances, including boilers, and heating systems. Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations including Landlord Gas Safety Checks. Weld and plumb gas lines as required for installations or repairs. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools to create efficient gas systems. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport equipment and materials. Utilise basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to complete projects effectively. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Experience

Proven experience as a Plumber and Gas Engineer or in a similar role is highly desirable. A driving licence is essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Location

Based in Blackpool but work will be throughout the UK as well locally, and may involve overnight stays on occasion.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.50-18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
