Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in working with gas systems. This role requires the ability to perform various tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems. The Gas Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards while delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools effectively. Plumb gas lines and ensure proper connections to appliances. Perform welding tasks as required for specific installations or repairs. Carry out heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Experience

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is essential. Familiarity with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment to job sites. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good interpersonal skills. A background in carpentry or related fields is a plus, enhancing versatility in handling various tasks.
