Full time or part time , would suit self employed person that wants to secure 2 - 3 days a week with certainty of a weekly wage

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of heating systems. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Heating Engineer will work with various tools and equipment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain heating systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues within heating systems. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision in all tasks. Perform welding and plumbing tasks as required for system installations and repairs. Execute heavy lifting tasks safely, moving equipment and materials as necessary. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects effectively. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during each job. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their heating needs.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for assembly and installation tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Experience in commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment to job sites. Ability to plumb and weld as part of system installations or repairs is highly desirable. Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
