We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber / Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, welding techniques, and mechanical systems to ensure efficient and safe operations. Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine piping layouts and configurations
Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus to complete installations and repairs
Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify leaks or faults and carry out necessary repairs
Assemble pipe sections using appropriate fittings and fasteners, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used for each project
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians or mechanical engineers to coordinate installation activities
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and construction processes
Skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment used in pipefitting tasks
Knowledge of assembly processes for piping systems and related components
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work
Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team
Good understanding of maintenance procedures for plumbing infrastructure
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
