We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires proficiency in various tools and techniques, ensuring that all heating systems operate efficiently and safely. The Heating Engineer will be responsible for working on both residential and commercial projects, providing high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers and radiators.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly.
Troubleshoot heating system issues and perform necessary repairs.
Utilise welding techniques for system installations as required.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Collaborate with plumbing teams to integrate heating systems with existing plumbing infrastructure.
Perform carpentry tasks related to the installation of heating units.
Assemble components of heating systems according to specifications.
Lift heavy equipment and materials as needed during installations or repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly tasks.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools essential for heating system work.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transportation of equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
