We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer and/or plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of heating systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in residential and commercial properties.
Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with heating equipment.
Utilise welding techniques for system installations and repairs as needed.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
Collaborate with plumbing teams to ensure seamless integration of heating systems.
Perform carpentry tasks related to the installation of heating units.
Lift heavy materials and equipment as required during installations or repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on site.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their heating needs.
Qualifications
Proven experience in heating engineering or a related field is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various heating systems.
Proficiency in plumbing, and assembly techniques is highly desirable.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
Ability to operate commercial vehicles may be required for transportation of equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
