We're seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing Shift Engineer to join our team in London. As a Plumbing Shift Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality maintenance services to our clients on Bluewater shopping centre.
About the Role:
As a Plumbing Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Delivering routine planned preventative maintenance tasks for plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary installations.
Monitoring and maintaining water treatment systems to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Attending to plumbing-related client issues and resolving them promptly.
Conducting building walk-rounds, taking meter readings, and investigating plumbing faults.
Preparing accurate and timely reports on maintenance activities and plumbing issues.
Ensuring corrective and repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations and standards.
Assisting with installation works related to plumbing systems and participating in emergency call-out rosters.
Developing a comprehensive understanding of our portfolio buildings, their layouts, functions, and plumbing complexities.
Building strong relationships with Facilities Managers, client staff, and representatives.
Promoting safe working practices, quality standards, and best practice methods within plumbing operations.
Volunteering ideas and initiatives to improve service levels and efficiency in plumbing maintenance.
Requirements:
City & Guilds Plumbing and Heating or equivalent qualifications.
Good building services knowledge and experience in critical environments.
Excellent customer relationship skills.
Working knowledge of "Permit to work" systems and technical drawings related to plumbing.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and BMS (Building Management Systems).
Time-served plumbing apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Experience working in a banking environment or similar sector is advantageous.
Knowledge of relevant plumbing regulations and standards.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
ACoPs L8 (Legionella Management) certification is a plus.
