Across Learning Curve Group we have various operational areas specialising in various Further Education routes, one of these key areas being our Academies division. This division being made up of Hair & Beauty Academies, Military Preparation Centres and of course Construction Centres. Across the North East of England we have 2 centres specialising in the delivery of various trades from, Joinery, Bricklaying, Plastering, Painting & Decorating, Plumbing and Electrical.



As a Plumbing Tutor at Learning Curve Group, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and guiding your learners through every step of their journey to gaining their qualification. You will ensure your learners have an outstanding experience and receive high-quality, engaging teaching that prepares them for success in the plumbing industry. This role involves delivering both theoretical and practical sessions, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback to help individuals achieve their full potential. You'll be delivering both Study Programmes and Commercial Delivery, tailoring your teaching methods to meet a diverse range of learner needs and industry expectations. You'll play a vital role in developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence of the next generation of plumbing professionals within a supportive and forward-thinking learning environment.

Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in plumbing theory, practical skills, and safety procedures to learners at all levels. Design, review, and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and assessments in line with relevant curriculum standards. Provide one-to-one and group support to learners, including additional tutoring where necessary, to help them reach their full potential. Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting safe working practices in practical workshop environments. Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and integrate them into course delivery where appropriate. Prepare learners for assessments, practical exams, and the demands of working in the plumbing industry. Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and awarding bodies to ensure courses are aligned with industry expectations and employability outcomes. Monitor and report on learner progress, retention, and achievement, contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts. Conduct learner inductions and manage associated administrative responsibilities effectively. Deliver a planned timetable of learning in line with agreements set by your line manager. Work closely with the Academy Manager and other team members to plan and deliver qualifications that meet both Learning Curve Group and awarding body standards. Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), incorporating SMART targets and scheduled review meetings. Accurately complete registers and all necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual and funding requirements. Track and report on learner attendance and performance, providing regular updates to line management. Implement learner support systems that promote progression, retention, and achievement. Complete assessments and associated documentation within required timeframes to meet awarding body and organisational standards. Submit learner portfolios promptly for interim and final verification processes. Support the management of learner behaviour and contribute to disciplinary processes when required. Maintain an accurate inventory of departmental tools and equipment, taking measures to prevent loss or misuse. Attend standardisation meetings and team briefings at designated training centres. Participate in internal quality assurance and moderation activities as required. Promote and maintain safe working practices in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, including inspections and risk assessments. Engage in professional development activities and maintain up-to-date CPD records. Ensure the learning environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained for both learners and staff. Support the delivery of weekend or evening courses on a rotational basis, if required. Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management. Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and support to learners, colleagues, and stakeholders as part of your daily responsibilities. Essentia Criteria



Recognised Plumbing Qualification - Minimum Level 3 NVQ Proven experience in the electrical industry, preferably. Strong knowledge of plumbing practices, systems & regulations. Recognised Teaching Qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training, PGCE, Cert ED etc) Recognised Assessing Qualification (CAVA OR TAQA etc)
