Position

Route planning
Running the warehouse floor to ensure a timely sort and dispatch
Driver attendance and shift management
Cost control
Reporting
Ensure driver routing is followed to achieve ETA targets
Driver liaison throughout the day and managing resource to achieve perfect service
Allocate and manage customer collections ensuring perfect service
Driver education and training
Ensure vehicle defect reporting and daily vehicle checks are completed
Monitoring and controlling drivers

Requirements

Previous experience of the parcel/logistics industry, ideally within a corporate environment
Exceptional communication skills
An ability to inspire and mentor others
An ability to implement and manage processes and change
A problem-solving approach with the ability to make good decisions under pressure
A team player with a collaborative approach
A good working knowledge of the logistics business

Hours:Full Time PM Hours
Holidays:28 days including bank holidays plus incremental holiday allowance after one years' service by a maximum of 5 days for 5 years complete service
