Job Title: PM Operations Shift Manager

Location: Ramsgate Depot - CT12 5HP
Salary: 33,500 per year
Hours:

Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 7:00pm (1-hour lunch) Alternate Saturdays, 6:00am - 12:00pm

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and dependable PM Operations Shift Manager to help lead our parcel collection and delivery operation. You'll support and manage our drivers while they're out on the road and ensure everything runs efficiently and smoothly providing the highest levels of service right through to depot close. In this role, you'll provide our driver team with any necessary support, assign customer collections, manage the afternoon sortation process, oversee the loading of our outbound trunk vehicle, and lock up the depot each evening. You'll also support the fulfilment centre when needed.

This is a hands-on role where leadership, communication, and problem-solving are key.

What You'll Be Doing

Assign customer collections and ensuring agreed collection times and service levels are achieved, deploying the necessary resources where they are required Support and coordinate drivers while they're on the road Assist customer service and inter-depot communications (calls/emails) Oversee and motivate the team during the PM sortation process Ensure the safe and efficient loading of the outbound trunk vehicle Lock up and secure the depot at the end of each shift Work with the management team to monitor volumes, service levels, KPIS and plan resources Support the fulfilment centre tasks when required (stock movement, picking/packing)

What We're Looking For

Strong organisational and leadership skills A confident communicator with a calm, practical approach in both verbal and written formats A quick, dynamic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working both in the office and on the depot floor Good IT skills (daily use of internal systems and email) Forklift licence is a plus Parcel/logistics experience is helpful but not essential Driving license essential
