About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced and proactive

PMO Project Manager

to join our consultancy team on a major manufacturing site development.

This role focuses on the buildings workstream, overseeing the delivery of key packages including structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) elements. The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating project controls, progress tracking, and stakeholder reporting through the PMO function.

Working closely with the client and contractors on-site, you'll ensure that project activities are well-planned, risks are managed, and information flows seamlessly across all parties. This is a client-facing, delivery-focused position, this is perfect for someone who combines strong technical understanding with excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, coordination, and progress tracking of all buildings-related project elements, including MEP systems. Act as a key point of contact between the client, consultancy, and contractors to ensure clear communication and issue resolution. Lead project reporting and governance activities through the PMO, ensuring accurate data capture, documentation, and performance tracking. Develop and maintain programme dashboards and project trackers using Smartsheet (preferred), Excel, and other digital tools. Support project scheduling, cost tracking, and change management activities in alignment with the overall programme plan. Identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and potential delays, working proactively with delivery teams to mitigate issues. Coordinate cross-functional meetings, ensuring actions are captured and followed up effectively. Prepare concise, client-ready reports and presentations summarising project progress, risks, and key decisions. Promote consistency in project delivery, quality assurance, and document control across multiple workstreams. Contribute to continuous improvement within the PMO, helping to enhance project visibility and performance.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a Project Manager or PMO professional, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or industrial project environments. Strong understanding of building construction processes, including MEP coordination. Proficient in Smartsheet (preferred), with strong skills in Excel and familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools. Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to liaise confidently with both client representatives and contractors. Personable, collaborative, and proactive. Comfortable working in a client-facing consultancy role. Sound knowledge of project controls, risk management, and reporting processes. Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it effectively to varied audiences. Strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills, with an eye for detail and a structured approach to delivery. Comfortable working on-site within a large, multi-disciplinary team environment.
