Pay Rates: 28.87 per hour exc WTD
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday between 08:30 - 17:00 (1 Hour lunch)

The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Podiatry Service is composed of three Teams: Empowerment (Triage and First Contact), Community Podiatry (Foot Protection Service, At-Risk Foot Team, Nail Surgery Team, Rheumatology Podiatry) and the Acute Team (Diabetic Foot Multidisciplinary Team, Vascular Podiatry, Renal Podiatry, F-Scan and Offloading Clinics).
What you can add:
Provide highly specialised and expert advice to MSK, Physiotherapy or Podiatry colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Undertake complex musculoskeletal assessment and specialised treatment on a daily basis. This may require periods of concentration and fine motor skills.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date documentation in line with legal and departmental requirements, and to demonstrate a reduction in the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons waiting list for patients with a neuro musculoskeletal disorder.
Demonstrate understanding of complex facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options. Will also undertake analysis and interpretation of results of medical investigations such as MRI where judgements regarding a range of clinical issues and/or highly complex patient conditions will have to be made.
Lead the specialist area in Audit, Research & Development in collaboration with the General Manager and Service lead, Therapy Consultants, Clinical Team Lead, and other members of the Musculoskeletal Team.
Triage referrals using skills beyond the scope of podiatry to aid diagnosis and development of treatment plans.
Provide highly specialised and expert advice to MSK, Physiotherapy or Podiatry colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Listen, empathise, communicate and reassure effectively, using appropriate tools, to fully explore management options with shared decision making, including cases with distressful diagnoses.
What you'll need:
Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Podiatrist.
BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Relevant NHS Podiatry experience.
Ability to produce clear, accurate, and contemporaneous patient records and timely correspondence.
Considerable, advanced experience of complex biomechanical/musculoskeletal disorders
