We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and have a comprehensive understanding of foot and ankle conditions. This role involves diagnosing and treating various podiatric issues, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to clinical research initiatives. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot and ankle conditions, including history taking and physical examinations.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients, particularly those in nursing homes or requiring hospice care.
Engage in clinical research activities to enhance the understanding of podiatric health and improve treatment methodologies.
Utilise medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Provide education and support to patients regarding foot health, preventive measures, and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations.
Experience
A degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification is essential.
Previous experience in patient care, particularly in senior care or home care settings, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with ICU practices and public health principles will be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the lower extremities is required.
Experience with medication administration and working within multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
