Package Description Policy and Governance ManagerSalary: Up to 55,000

Location: Remote (with ad-hoc travel across England and Wales as required)

Car Allowance: 3,600 per annum + MileageJoin our team as a Policy and Governance Manager and play a vital role in shaping and safeguarding the operational and strategic governance of our organisation. You'll ensure our services are delivered to the highest standards by maintaining a robust policy framework, championing compliance, and driving quality improvement across all areas.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development, review, and implementation of Group-wide policies, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Maintain an up-to-date central library of policies with robust version control and audit trails. Establish and manage an annual policy review cycle, engaging stakeholders and ensuring accessibility and relevance. Monitor compliance with key policies and report regularly to senior leaders and governance committees. Oversee and maintain the Group's Governance Framework, including supporting governance committees and sub-committees. Manage the Group's risk registers, ensuring risks are identified, escalated, and mitigated appropriately. Coordinate learning reviews following serious incidents and ensure timely implementation of actions. Contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Strategy and Quality Management System. Lead and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and ensure learning from incidents, complaints, and audits is embedded. Support services with inspection readiness, including mock inspections and internal audits. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations (CQC, CIW, Ofsted, Estyn) and respond to sector consultations. Work closely with IT and Data Protection teams to support governance and data compliance (GDPR). Provide expert advice on governance and policy issues and deliver internal workshops and training. Present reports and analysis to leadership teams to support strategic decision-making. Lead and support organisational change initiatives related to governance, policy, and compliance.

Requirements:Extensive knowledge of the social care sector, including its legislative and regulatory environment.- Essential Proven experience in a governance, policy, or quality leadership role within health or social care.- Essential Strong understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks.- Essential Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.- Essential Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional initiatives.- Desirable Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative working style.- Essential Confident in using data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.- Desirable
