The Centre for the Analysis of Taxation (CenTax) is dedicated to improving public understanding of tax policy and helping to design a better tax system, by generating evidence that is rigorous and relevant to policymakers and the public. Led by Dr Arun Advani (Warwick) and Dr Andy Summers (LSE), the centre produces rigorous quantitative evidence on tax, develops evidence on targeted and feasible reforms, and communicates findings transparently to policy, media and civil society stakeholders.

This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to undertake fast-paced high-profile policy research, collaborate with academic researchers, produce thought-leading research outputs in your own name (with co-authors), and represent CenTax at external meetings and events. You will play a key role in influencing policymaking via extensive engagement with government officials, media, tax professionals and third sector organisations.

CenTax is seeking an individual who has experience in policy-orientated analysis and engagement, for example via roles within government or policy-oriented research institutions. Subject to grant funding and your performance, there is the opportunity for career progression and extension beyond the initial term.
