Portable Appliance Test Engineer
Job Description
The Elec Group are expanding our team of engineers and require additional Portable Appliance Test Engineers throughout the country.
You may already be qualified to City & Guilds 2377 with years of experience delivering a quality service to clients, but equally you may be looking to start your career in the electrical compliance industry, and possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail and great communication skills.
We offer full training and mentoring to ensure that you meet our excellent standards, before fully funding your C&G 2377 training course and exam, if you don't already have it.
Once qualified, and after a period of service, our PAT Engineers are offered career progression, gaining further qualifications in Fire Extinguisher or Fire Alarm servicing, and Emergency Light testing, and the opportunity to become a fully qualified Electrician/ Electrical Inspector to C&G 2391. Training is fully funded.
Previous experience of Fire Alarm testing, Fire Extinguisher servicing or basic electrical works would be a bonus, and may speed up access to training to C&G 2391.
This role is for a home-based engineer, with travel from site to site. Some staying away from home may be required.
Vehicle will be provided so you must hold a clean, full driving licence and be at least 21.
