Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity to be part of something special? Priory is recruiting a Positive Behaviour Specialist/ 37.5 Hours to join our team, a brand-new nurse-led residential service supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.

What you'll be doing





You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residentsDevelop and implement individualized Positive Behaviour Support plans to reduce challenging behaviors and promote skill development for children, adolescents, or adults with learning disabilities or autism. Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the underlying causes of behaviors and design proactive, person-centered interventions. Collaborate closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent and effective support across all environments. Provide training and guidance to staff and caregivers on behavior management techniques and communication strategies to improve quality of life and independence. Monitor and review support plans regularly, using data-driven approaches to evaluate progress and adapt strategies as needed.


What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in psychology, social work, or a related health or social care field, with specific training or certification in Positive Behaviour Support. Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex behavioral needs is essential, along with strong skills in functional behavior assessment and behavior plan development. The candidate should be confident in working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, providing training and support to caregivers, and using data to monitor and adapt interventions. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to person-centered, ethical practice are required.
