Bourne Dyslexia is a small independent, advocacy-led assessment service based in Bournemouth. We provide high-quality diagnostic assessments, consultancy, and community support for neurodivergent individuals and their families. Grounded in lived experience and professional expertise, we're passionate about redefining how dyslexia is understood and supported.

As demand grows, particularly for

adult assessments

, we're looking to welcome an experienced freelance assessor to our small, values-driven team.

What's involved:

Carrying out full diagnostic assessments for dyslexia (and other SpLDs if appropriate). Producing clear, professional reports in line with SASC and JCQ guidance. Offering post-assessment advice and recommendations Maintaining high standards of client care, professionalism, and communication. Working independently with flexibility around your own schedule.

Requirements:

Level 7 qualification in SpLD Assessment and Teaching. Current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC). Up-to-date knowledge of JCQ guidelines. Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain). Own set of up-to-date testing materials. Professional indemnity insurance. Experience assessing adults is essential.

Payment:

500 per full adult assessment. 475 if you'd like our team to support with proofreading.
