ABOUT THE ROLE

Working within the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support the Principal Investigator in developing and delivering research proposals for external funding, and in writing and submitting academic publications. You will work alongside , primarily concerning his research in people-centred urbanism, including the consideration of mobilities and public participation and collaboration.

The role is for a fixed term of 12 months.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 therefore the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

The Department has research strengths in areas including human-environment interactions, advanced construction technologies, digital construction, building information management, heritage futures, and practice-based research. We will consider high-quality applications in areas relevant to our teaching or research activities.

The Department of Architecture and Built Environment at Northumbria University engages with the full spectrum of disciplines that shape the future of our built environment including Architecture, Interior Architecture, Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying. Building Surveying and Real Estate.

Applicants should hold a PhD and have demonstrable specialist expert knowledge relevant to people-centred design of the built environment.
