About the Role

Do you fancy being the friendly face behind the counter where stamps, smiles, and stories are exchanged daily? As one of our Post Office legends, you'll be helping keep Britain connected -- one letter, parcel, and lottery ticket at a time. You'll be the calm in the queue chaos, the oracle of postage prices, and the hero who ensures Granny's birthday card makes it to Land's End in one piece.

What You'll Be Doing

Dispensing wisdom (and stamps) to customers in need. Weighing, posting, and occasionally wondering what's inside all those mysterious parcels. Handling cash, cards, and conversations with equal confidence. Keeping the queue moving -- and spirits high -- on even the busiest mornings. Selling everything from travel insurance to top-up cards with a smile. Being the unofficial community hub -- people come for the postage, stay for the chat.

Who You Are

Friendly, patient, and capable of discussing the weather at length. Organised enough to find the right label among a sea of envelopes. Trustworthy -- because people will hand you everything from passports to secret love letters. Tech-savvy-ish (you can handle a till and maybe a label printer that occasionally beeps for no reason). Happy to work as part of a small, close-knit team -- or a one-person dynamo in a local branch.
