The Role
As Post Office Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the branch. You'll ensure excellent customer service, oversee operations, and work with the wider management team to drive performance and engagement across the branch.
Responsibilities include:
Leading and motivating a small team to deliver excellent customer service.
Managing daily operations, including efficient and accurate handling of cash and transactions.
Working closely with the Postmaster and Area Manager to improve branch performance and customer engagement.
Looking for new ways to make processes more efficient and effective.
Playing a role in social media engagement to promote the business and connect with our local community.
Thriving under pressure and ensuring the branch runs smoothly at all times.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Post Office role is highly desirable. Retail or banking experience will also be considered.
A proactive, forward-thinking attitude with the ability to problem-solve and adapt.
Someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys motivating a team.
Strong organisational skills, with an eye for efficiency and improvement.
Confidence with digital tools and social media engagement.
Trustworthiness and reliability--key qualities in handling financial transactions and sensitive customer services.
