About the role


Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Materials Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Andrew Goodwin for a period of up to 16 months. The project involves the study of disorder-property relationships and is funded by the EPSRC.

About you


Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a related area, prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires experience in statistical mechanics, and combined simulation/experimental studies of disordered systems.

You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, South Parks Road, OX1 3QR and is available from 1 January 2026.
