We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with strong molecular biology expertise in the field of neuroscience to work in the Montagne lab at the UK Dementia Research Institute.
The Opportunity:
To work within a world-renowned research institute that is focused on understanding how all the different cell types in our brains work together to keep the brain healthy, how this goes wrong in dementia, and how this process can be slowed or stopped to alter disease progression. The Montagne lab will particularly focus on the brain vasculature with the aim to understand how vascular-immune dysfunction contribute to dementia.
Your skills and attributes for success:
A PhD in biomedical sciences, neuroscience, bioinformatics, or similar.
Strong knowledge and background experience in vascular & immune biology in a context of neurodegenerative disease.
Strong molecular biology (e.g., current omics techniques) and imaging (e.g., confocal) skills.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
Capacity and willingness to work and collaborate with other people.
